Musical Theatre Camp

ChiTheatreCamp is a program for pre-professionals and theatre enthusiasts alike. The First Draft is a 10 week camp of intensive creation leading to a final performance. Young performers will collaborate with industry experts to devise, write, and star in a completely original world-premiere musical. It’s a chance to work on the fundamentals of voice, acting, and dance while mastering the art of storytelling and songwriting. Campers will lead the way in the writing process and thrive in a supportive, high-energy ensemble environment. By the end of this 10-week session, each performer will have a world-premiere credit for their resume and a digital copy of the Original Cast Recording to share with friends and family. The First Draft not only empowers young actors to step into the spotlight, but also to be the writers of their own story!
